Futures Literacy in Austria (UNESCO Futures Literacy Summit 2020)

In order to advance the issue of futures literacy in Austria, the Center for Future Design works closely with stakeholders from politics, business and academia. For this short film, which was first broadcast during the plenary session of the global UNESCO Futures Literacy Summit, strong statements on the importance of futures literacy in Austria were obtained from these partners.

Students on the topic of "Futures Literacy

Students in our Futures Literacy in Design & Technology Innovation course were invited to contribute to the bid for the international UNESCO Futures Literacy Summit (8-12 December 2020) by independently considering short statements on why futures literacy is a significant 21st century skill.

48h Innovation Sprint (24 - 26 May 2019)

Klaus Fronius, owner and member of the supervisory board of Fronius International and member of the advisory board of the Center for Future Design, has developed a completely new technology for self-sufficient energy generation with his team (Daniel Fahrner, Hofmann Harald). Students were able to develop scenarios for the new technology in close cooperation with input-providing managers from the participating leading companies (Siemens BSH, VW, Caritas, etc.) and address their beneficial implementation.
